Vacuum Desiccator
The Vacuum Desiccator is a molded fiberglass cabinet having one cubic foot of interior space that provides a low humidity environment for the storage of moisture-sensitive materials including thin layer chromatography plates, halide salt cells for IR spectrophotometers and chemical standards.
Features:
Epoxy-coated cold rolled steel side hinged door with fully-gasketed, clear 3/8" tempered safety glass window which provides an unobstructed view;
two removable aluminum shelves with twelve 7/8" (22 mm) holes and nine molded-in shelf supports; stainless steel pan; 3-way vacuum release needle valve that accomodates 1/4" ID vacuum tubing to allow for slow vacuum release and refilling with a dry inert gas; epoxy-coated steel wire support stand.
Body is constructed of molded fiberglass reinforced polyester. Cabinet is vacuum tested to 29 inches of mercury. A vacuum source and optional granular desiccant are recommended for operation (not included).
